Leonardo's Discovery Warehouse and Adventure Quest: Hands-on fun at every turn!
Open since 1995, Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse and Adventure Quest in Enid offers a wide range of hands-on art and science activities for children to explore while fostering creativity, inspiration and learning. Founded by Owen and Helen Mary Garriott, this interactive children’s center has three large areas to explore including Enid’s castle, Adventure Quest and an indoor science playground.
At Leonardo’s children can visit the rainforest zone where they can make friends with lots of animals, including snakes, lizards, chinchillas, ferrets and more. Then, explore Enid’s castle—a three-story wooden castle featuring bridges, slides, swings, mazes and more. The next stop is the carpenter shop—using real materials and tools children can construct their own masterpiece. Then, in the art studio grab a paintbrush, markers and glue and let your imagination run wild. Children can even bring their carpenter shop projects to the art studio for some final touches.
In the pottery lab, roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty with molding clay to create your own work of art. Next, it’s time to shop at the Renaissance marketplace—here you’ll find a miniature store stocked with play foods, including healthy fruits, vegetables, fish and more. Then, head over to the check-out stand, where pint-sized cashiers will be waiting to help!
Next, get ready to blast off into space in the mock space shuttle—this two-seat flight simulator will take you into the galaxy for an exciting adventure. Then, its lights, camera and action! In the mini theatre dress up area there are tons of costumes to try on. Children will enjoy watching themselves on the live television screen overhead as they act out their imaginations on stage.
Other play areas include the fire safety center, racing ball track, air force zone, flight tower and the dinosaur play and fossil dig—children can sift through the dirt to find an ancient fossils in the excavation pit.
Leonardo’s Discovery Warehouse and Adventure Quest is fun place to celebrate birthdays and other special events. Party packages range from $25-$250 and include anything from room rental, museum play, party favors, balloons, goody bags, admission, invitation and a Leonardo’s t-shirt for the birthday child.
